Frequently Asked Questions

Here you can find answers on frequently asked questions. If you cannot find the answer, feel free to contact us via email or phone.

How long does BB Glow last?

The results will last up to half a year with appropriate treatments and correct aftercare and maintenance.

How many treatments will I need?

Most people will need at least 4-6 treatments to achieve their desired result.

How does BB Glow treatment feel?

There is no discomfort involved, so the numbing cream is unnecessary for this treatment.

What are the benefits of BB Glow?

The allure, in this case, waking up year-round with a naturally glowing, smooth complexion, no foundation necessary. With BB Glow, you save time doing makeup and the money you use to buy it. An added benefit from the micro-needling aspect is collagen induction to smooth out wrinkles and tighten pores.

How will it help my skin?

BB Glow treats the struggle against fine lines, uneven skin tone, breakouts, tightens pores, and improves skin vibrancy.

Is BB Glow safe?

The BB Glow therapist will go through all the contraindications before proceeding with the treatment. Discussing this is to ensure it is suitable for you.

Can I go tanning after my treatment?

Like any facial or body procedure that causes any level of trauma to the skin, there is the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation can flare up with ultraviolet rays. We do not advise any UV exposure before or after BB Glow to ensure no risk of pigmenting the skin.

What is the aftercare for BB Glow?

Immediately after the procedure, do not touch, steam, wash or wipe your face. Do not wear any makeup. We advise you to refrain from saunas, gyms, solarium, active sports, swimming in pools or open water, drinking coffee, strong tea, energy drinks and alcohol, peelings, epilation for the next ten days, and other mechanical effects on the treated area.

What happens during microdermabrasion?

The dermatologist uses a handheld device that gently removes the top layer of skin. You may feel a sanding sensation, but this is not painful. It takes about 30 minutes to treat the entire face.

What will I need to do after microdermabrasion?

You will get a skincare plan that includes sun protection. Protecting your skin from the sun helps ensure the best possible results and reduces the risk of side effects.

Is there downtime?

You will not have downtime or a recovery period. Some patients' skin turns pink or red, and the skin can swell a bit. During this time, some patients feel uncomfortable returning to work or being in public.

When will I see results from microdermabrasion?

The results will depend on what the treatment is aiding. To define how many sessions will be needed, a consultation with a beautician is necessary.

What are the possible side effects?

After microdermabrasion, your treated skin may be pink or red and slightly swollen. These will go away without treatment. Your pink or swollen skin tends to disappear within a day. The skin can bruise, burn, sting, or become extremely sensitive to sunlight in some cases.

When can I safely get another treatment?

Microdermabrasion treats only the top layer of the skin, so the skin recovers quickly. You have the option to add specific treatments on the same day or one week later.

What are the contraindications?

Sensitive or thin skin, dermatitis, or that have undergone some type of abrasive procedure (chemical or mechanical peeling, enzymatic, laser/IPL treatment).

What are the main benefits of Signature Facial – Blackhead Extractions?

Signature Facial is beneficial for removing blackheads, pimples, milia (small white bump), and sebaceous spots. It also detoxifies, removes dead cells, keeps skin soft and healthy, reducing oil.

How often should it be done?

In general, we indicate every 30 or 40 days. In cases of acne or many blackheads, initially, we suggest once every 15 days and then once every 40 days as maintenance.

Are there any contraindications?

We do not recommend for sensitive skin, those under the sun blush, with a lot of scaling, or who quickly develop allergies and irritations.

Is there a time of year when it is best for this procedure?

There is no better time, Signature Facial with Blackhead extractions is prominent at any time of the year, but the skin tends to become oilier and thicker in summer. Residues from facial cosmetic products can be easily retained in the pores, leading to more blackheads or pimples.

Which skin types is it suitable for?

All skin types. A well-performed procedure helps balance dry, normal, oily, and mixed skin, as cleaning the skin does not only mean removing comedones (blackheads) and acne but removing dead cells, which evens out and improves the appearance of the skin.

How is the procedure performed for those who have a lot of pimples?

The correct thing is to carry out a drying treatment using topical medications that control sebaceous activity, reducing inflammation.

Can pregnant women clean their skin?

Skin cleaning is available for pregnant women. However, medical approval is required to perform the procedure due to some substances in cosmetic products.

How does lipo cavitation work?

It relies on ultrasound technology to break apart fat cells.
Ultrasound waves are sent deep into the layers of your skin, causing a disruptive vibration. Fat cells then break apart from each other and are dislodged from your dermal layers. After a few days, the lymphatic system will absorb your fat cells and drain them as waste from your body.

Does lipo cavitation have any risk?

Lipo cavitation is considered a low-risk treatment for most people. Common side effects are redness, bruising, and headache.
In some cases, the skin will not absorb the fat evenly after it breaks down. Lumps, bumps, and valleys on your skin can appear after treatment.
Follow-up treatments may resolve these skin irregularities.

Is lipo cavitation a painful process?

It is not a painful treatment. It works based on low-frequency ultrasounds. You may feel a warm sensation during the procedure and hear a buzzing from the ultrasound machine.

Does lipo cavitation help to lose weight?

Ultrasonic cavitation targets small areas of fat to help contour your body. It isn't a treatment for people who are trying to lose a lot of weight.

How many sessions do you recommend?

Each body will respond in a specific and unique way. However, on average, it takes between eight to twelve sessions. You can see results from the third session onwards.

What to expect after ultrasonic cavitation?

Pain and bruising are usually minimal. You need to hydrate as much as possible after the procedure to help your body flush the fatty cells through your lymphatic system.
But do not expect to see results right away. Right after your appointment, your body might feel puffy or swollen. It takes time for your body to break down and dissolve the fat cells that we dislodged.
You may also require repeated treatments to see visible results.
Results of this treatment are permanent if you maintain a healthy diet and exercise. If you have a sedentary lifestyle, fat deposits may return to areas that we have treated.

How long do the sessions take?

Each session lasts around 60 minutes. It is 20 – 30 minutes of lipo cavitation plus 30 minutes of a complementary shaping massage.

How often can you do Lipocavitation?

At least three days must pass between each session for the first three sessions, then once a week. For most clients, we recommend a minimum of between 10 and 12 cavitation treatments for best results. It is essential to stimulate the treatment area following the session typically.

What are the target areas for this treatment?

Lipo cavitation is frequently performed on the stomach, hips, back, chest, upper arms, thigh areas.

What are the contraindications?

People who have any of these conditions:
• skin wounds or skin disease
• epilepsy
• heart disease (such as arrhythmia) or pacemakers
• cancer
• sputum infectious disease
• pregnant/ in lactation/ during menstruation
• serious illness (gastric ulcer, stomach problems, ulcers, high blood pressure, and diabetes)
• abdominal surgery less than three months
• metal or silicone in the body

What is LED Light therapy for?

Entirely non-invasive, LED is a non-laser treatment that works for skin conditions as acne, fine lines, and wrinkles, photodamaged skin (sun damage or photoaging), rosacea, stretch marks, postoperative care to stimulate wound healing. Improves oxygenation in the skin, leaving your skin looking vibrant and fresh.

Does LED light therapy work?

LED light therapy is a scientific process that uses wavelengths in a visible light spectrum to rejuvenate skin. It utilizes seven different programs with a combination of colors to achieve superior results.

Is LED light safe?

In general, LED light therapy is safe. The procedure is non-invasive and does not cause burning or pain.

Does LED therapy have any side effects?

Short-term side effects are rare. When they do occur, they may include inflammation, rashes, skin redness, and tenderness.

How many LED treatments will I need?

Depending on your skin condition, LED treatment is usually required twice a week for some time. Many patients see and feel results after just one treatment.

For how long are LED light Therapy treatments?

Relatively short, depending on your treatment plan. On average, it lasts between 10 and 20 minutes.

What are the colors and their functions in the treatment?

Red light – Whitening pale spot makes the skin soft and tender, and helps prevent wrinkle, repair damaged skin, smoothens the fine wrinkles, can shrink pores, the hyperplasia of collagen.

Blue light – Efficiently minimize and heal acne and helps repair the skin without leaving scars.

Purple light – It is red and blue dual-band light, a combination of two kinds of phototherapy. It can be used primarily in healing and repairing acne scars.

Laser light (White light) – Resolving age spots, improving fine lines, and sagging skin.

Greenlight – Neutralizes, balance skin condition and help relieve mental stress and effective dredge lymphoid and eczema.

Yellow light – Improves rough skin and wrinkles, skin redness, fever, removes ringworm on the skin and helps increase immunity.

Green Blue light – Enhance cell energy gradually and promote metabolism.

What's dermaplaning?

The basic concept of dermaplaning is the same as shaving. By aiming a sterile blade at a 45-degree angle and dragging it slowly across your skin, you remove dead cells, scar tissue, and other debris that may be making your skin's surface look uneven.Your skin is exposed daily to harsh environmental toxins, irritants, and sun damage. This can cause the top layer of your skin to appear dull, making you look aged. Dermaplaning clears away those damaged skin cells, so newer skin cells are what you see when you look in the mirror.

What is dermaplaning for?

Dermaplaning aims to make your skin's surface smooth, youthful, and radiant. This treatment claims to remove deep scarring from acne and uneven pockmarks on your skin. It's also used to remove "peach fuzz," the short, soft hairs on your face.

Is it painful?

Dermaplaning is one of the least painful ways to remove facial hair and dead skin—especially when compared to other hair removal techniques like sugaring, threading, and waxing. Many people describe the feeling of dermaplaning as a gentle tickle or brushing sensation.

Is it a safe procedure?

Dermaplaning is a low-risk procedure.

What are the side effects?

Side effects may include slight redness in your face in the hours after getting the treatment. Some people develop whiteheads on their skin in the day or two after dermaplaning. Infection and scarring are rare after dermaplaning, but they do occur. Another possible side effect is a patchy skin pigment in the area where you have the procedure, which may decrease or disappear as time goes on.

Is there a downtime?

You don't need to plan any downtime to recover from a dermaplaning treatment. You may experience redness or feel like your skin is scraped in the two or three days right after the procedure.

What to expect after a session?

You may notice that your skin looks brighter immediately after you're finished with a dermaplaning treatment, but it often takes a few days to appreciate the full results. As any redness subsides, you'll be able to see the results more clearly in the days afterward.

Is it a permanent treatment?

Results of dermaplaning aren't permanent. The procedure claims to clear away up to three weeks' worth of dead skin cells. After three weeks to a month, your results will have faded.

What to do after the dermaplaning session?

You should avoid strenuous activities for 48 hours and stay away from the chemical peel and makeup. The reason is that most of the effects of the chemical peel are permanent once you're done with it. After a dermaplaning treatment, you'll need to be extra careful about sun exposure. Sun damage could reverse the effects of dermaplaning or create pigment blotches on your freshly uncovered skin cells. In the weeks after a dermaplaning treatment, don't leave the house without wearing sunscreen on your face.

How often should dermaplaning be done?

This will be different for everyone, but a good rule of thumb would be to do it about once every five weeks for most people. There are many reasons why you might want to keep up those layers.

Is dermaplaning for darker skin?

While some exfoliation methods (like scrubs) aren't recommended for darker skin, dermaplaning is 100% safe. Dermaplaning is a type of manual exfoliation like a face scrub. However, unlike a scrub, dermaplaning doesn't irritate or cause micro-abrasions in the skin so that it won't cause hyperpigmentation.

What are the contraindications?

Those with current inflamed acne lesions, skin cancer, active cold sores, uncontrolled diabetes, dermatitis, open skin lesions. Use of Accutane currently or in the past six months and use of prescription retinol within a week of treatment.

Will dermaplaning make your hair grow back thicker?

When you dermaplane, you are removing very, very fine hair called vellus hair. This hair is so thin and soft that removing it with a dermaplaning tool will have little to no impact on how it looks when it grows back. It's biologically impossible for hair to grow back thicker because of this procedure.

What is Skin Needling?

Skin needling is performed by a Skin Aesthetician to improve overall skin texture and stimulate collagen production. The needles range from 0.5-3.0mm penetrate the skin with a small needling pen (also known as a Dermapen). This is performed in sections (e.g., cheek, chin, forehead), which create tiny wounds in the skin that breach the top layer of the skin to reach the epidermis. The tiny micro-traumas to the skin stimulates collagen formation, which tightens and refine the skin texture.
Further, the tiny micro-traumas stimulate new growth factors. New growth equals new collagen and elastin! Your body also recognizes damaged cells in the healing process (think pigmentation and scarring), and when your skin is healing from the needling, these damaged cells are also repaired. We personalize serums and post-treatment actives during our sessions to enhance results - like peptides that strengthen the new baby's collagen formulating.
Skin needling is quickly becoming the natural alternative to Botox. Not only is this treatment great for anti-aging, but also the ultimate skin resurfacing treatment.

What are the benefits of Skin Needling?

Skin needling is used to treat a multitude of skin conditions, such as:
Scarring: This treatment was initially invented by doctors to stimulate growth and repair surgical scars. Over time this technique has evolved into machines such as the
Dermapen. Acne scarring and surgical scars are commonly treated, with 80-90% of acne scars fading out throughout treatments. The sooner you treat your scars, the better chance of repair you have.
Sun Damage: As we age, our sunspots keep on appearing with our cellular turnover. I have found incredible results in breaking up sunspots and completely resurfacing sun-damaged areas without using lasers.
Melasma: Although we can't cure Melasma externally, we can control Melasma. We have found using non-heat-based treatments (anyone suffering Melasma must avoid lasers), skin needling has been proven to control melasma breakouts, and using the recommended home care, we can work on blocking these melanocytes from surfacing.
Congestion/Open Pores: A big misconception is that you can't do needling on congestion or acne. Although I wouldn't recommend skin needling on active cystic acne, blocked pores need to be aerated. If we can open pores and destroy bacteria with actives, we can smooth out the skin's texture.

Will it hurt?

No, but it's not exactly a relaxing facial (we are in it for the results after all!). Numbing cream is available; however, most clients are okay without it. Skin needling feels a little similar to a microdermabrasion. A full-face only takes 10 minutes; I would rate the discomfort a 3/10. The sensation feels a little scratchy/buzzing over the skin, but it is very tolerable. For the next 24 hours, you look like you have a mild sunburn and minor swelling.

What is the difference between DIY derma rolling at home and in-clinic skin needling?

The at-home derma rollers are less effective. The needle penetration is a lot more superficial; however, it can better absorb skincare products if used regularly. Studies have found some rollers can damage the skin and cause permanent capillary damage (so make sure you tread carefully under the guidance of a professional here).

How many treatments are required?

3-4 Skin Needling sessions are recommended for best results. Many clients come in every month for Skin Needling to stimulate skin cell turnover and promote fresh collagen.

What are the benefits of the Chemical Peel treatment?

A chemical peel gives the skin a chance to regenerate and create fresh, new skin in the least invasive way possible. Regular peel treatments can also correct discoloration from acne scars and age spots, help with fine lines and wrinkles, and prevent acne breakouts.

How does Chemical Peel work?

Peels rely on Alpha-hydroxy acids (plant-derived acids) to break down the top layer of dead skin, dissolving the outer layers to even skin tone and texture. During the process, peels also help promote collagen building and make the skin more receptive to skincare products, increasing efficacy and performance.

Why choose weft hair extensions?

With Weft extensions we can instantly transform your hairstyle, creating volume and length easily. Our hair extensions are made from real human hair that has not been altered or chemical processed, which creates a natural new look. In addition, choosing weft hair extensions allows your natural hair to grow and gives it a rest from the damaging effect of heating tools.

How many weft extensions will I need for a full head?

This will depend on the thickness desired by you. However, we typically suggest applying 100g+ of weft hair extensions for a full head application.

Can I wear my hair up with weft hair extensions?

Yes, you are free to wear whatever style you desire with weft hair extensions. You can wear your hair down in a free-flowing style, or you can opt for putting your hair up into a ponytail or braid; the choice is yours. You will not have to worry about attachments being on show, as their natural hair disguises them.

Can I style my weft hair extensions?

Yes, you can curl, straighten, blow-dry and style your extensions just as you would your natural hair. However, to preserve the quality and lifespan of your extensions, you should always use a heat protectant spray and stick to a lower heat setting. If you can, why not try out some heatless methods to style your extensions?

Can I swim with weft hair extensions?

Unlike temporary extension methods, such as clip-ins, you can swim at the beach or in the pool with your weft hair extensions on occasion. It is best to limit the exposure to salt water and chlorine and whilst swimming, you should ensure that your hair is either in a loose plait or left out as any other hairstyle can tangle the hair extensions.
Before and after swimming, you should rinse your hair with cold water so that your hair does not soak up saltwater or chlorine. Additionally, you should always wash your extensions with an extension safe cleansing shampoo and deep conditioning treatment mask the night after swimming.

Can I change the colour of my weft hair extensions?

Yes, our weft hair extensions are made of 100 percent human hair, meaning that you can colour them. We strongly suggest having your extensions coloured by a professional. Please keep in mind that hair extensions should never be bleached, as this can damage the integrity of the hair. The general rule is to only take your extensions two to three shades darker, never lighter.

What are the best ways to care for weft hair extensions?

Regular maintenance and care for your weft extensions will mean that they enjoy a longer life span and look beautiful for longer. You should brush them regularly to avoid knots and getting hair tangled. In addition, using a special hair extension shampoo and conditioner will ensure they stay clean and restore moisture to the hair. Hair oils and moisturising treatments are also great for avoiding split ends and damage to your weft hair extensions.

How long do weft hair extensions last?

If you care and maintain your weft hair extensions correctly, you can expect them to last for at least six to 12 months.

What products do you recommend I use with my extensions?

If you want your weft hair extensions to last for a long time, we recommend you use our specially formulated products. You must avoid any products with sulphates, parabens and proteins, which can cause irreversible damage to your extensions.

How much do weft hair extensions cost?

We offer three different types of weft extensions. Our 22” Russian wefts come in 100g and start from $820.  Our 26” Russian wefts are available in 120g packs and start from $1,099.
